this is the ground surrounding our house. it is pebbly and rough and just not good for sidewalk chalk. 
the kids get bored because they can’t see what they are drawing and move on to more clean spaces like the door
mommy no likey – so off to lowes we go for a little DIY
daddy was the handy man this day – he bought some wood and primed it 
then started to paint on the chalkboard paint – while the girls ate and played
it took about 3 layers and then the board was ready to be colored
very happy kiddos, very happy mommy and one fabulous DIY dad!
